The electric consumption of store refrigeration equipments is an issue that may be ignored by most store operators. Actually, the bill of electric consumption for refrigeration equipments is also a heavy operation cost. Besides using high efficiency refrigeration product, a simple solution can help the saving of electric expense. The solution is to choose remote type chiller or freezer with external condensing unit.
A quick comparision between all-in-one chiller(freezer) and remote type chiller(freezer).
Supposing the reqeusted refrigeration capacity is 10KW, and both refrigeration units have the same efficiency(EER is 2.0) at same condition.
1, All-in-one chiller releases heat indoor. It releases 10+10/2=15KW heat indoor. And this released heat shall be cooled by air conditioner in order to maintain comfortable indoor temperature. Supposing the EER of air conditioner is about 3, the requested electric consumption for air conditioner to moving the released heat(15kw) to outdoor is about 15/3=5KW. So this refrigeration unit shall consume total 10/2+15/3=10KW actually.
2, Remote type chiller releases heat to outdoor directly. And the EER of refrigeration may be little bit lower during hot days( Outdoor ambient temperature higher than 26 Celsius degrees), like 1,8. The requested electric consumption of remote type is 10/1,8=5,6KW which is much less than 10KW. Without releasing heat indoor, the chiller does not increase the load for air conditioning system. No additional electric consumption for air conditioner. No heat wave near refrigeration unit(chiller or freezer), more comfortable for people nearby.
